Connect OANDA to CRX

OANDA v20 REST — Personal Access Token + Account ID + practice|live.

OANDA uses a v20 personal access token + Account ID — not MT5. Choose practice or live in the Environment field.

Before you connect
  • Generate a personal access token — not your login password.
  • Token allows trading on the linked account only.
  • Revoke the token in OANDA anytime; disconnect in CRX too.
  • Some regions restrict OANDA — use another broker if signup is blocked.

Step 1 — On OANDA

Get API credentials from OANDA

OANDA uses a REST API token (not MT5). Create a token in the OANDA portal, copy your Account ID, and choose practice or live environment in CRX.

Log in to OANDA fxTrade

Open OANDA (web or app). OANDA does not use MT5 for CRX — connection is via the v20 REST API only. Use your fxTrade Practice or Live account.

  • Practice: fxtrade.oanda.com (demo)
  • Live: your regional OANDA portal
  • Not MT5 — REST token + Account ID only

Generate personal access token

In OANDA: Manage API Access (or Tools → API) → Generate. Copy the token immediately — it is shown once. Find your Account ID in account summary (numeric, e.g. 101-004-1234567-001).

  • Manage API Access → Generate token
  • Copy token before closing the dialog
  • Account ID from account details / summary

Match practice or live in CRX

CRX Environment field must be exactly practice (demo OANDA) or live (real OANDA). Mismatch causes auth errors.

  • practice — OANDA demo account
  • live — real-money OANDA account

How to connect in CRX

Three steps in Settings → Venue Connection. Funds stay on OANDA — CRX never holds your capital.

Open Settings → Venue Connection

Dashboard → Settings → Venue Connection. Your CRX account must be Forex signup (not Crypto).

Select OANDA & paste credentials

Click OANDA in the Forex row. Paste: API Token, Account ID, Environment (practice|live). Click Connect Broker.

Set risk & go live when ready

Settings → Risk: margin per trade, leverage, max positions. Enable Live Automation Consent only when you want real-money order instructions.

Open CRX Settings after signup and paste your credentials.
