Connect OKX to CRX

Create a trade-only OKX API key (V5), then connect Key + Secret + Passphrase in CRX.

Crypto exchanges use API Key + Secret (+ Passphrase on OKX/Bitget). Enable trade/read only — withdraw must stay OFF.

Before you connect
  • Enable Read + Trade (or equivalent) only.
  • Keep Withdraw / Transfer / Move funds OFF — always.
  • CRX rejects crypto keys that can withdraw.
  • Funds stay in your venue wallet — CRX never holds capital.

Futures vs Spot on OKX

CRX supports both products. Set up the right wallet on the exchange first, then pick Futures or Spot in CRX Settings → Trading product.

Futures (USDT perpetuals)

CRX trades OKX USDT-margined swaps. Keep USDT in your trading account — the bot opens LONG/SHORT perps with your dashboard leverage and margin settings.

  • OKX → Profile → Settings → Account mode → Futures mode (Spot mode blocks swap API)
  • OKX app → Trade → Derivatives / Swap (not Spot)
  • Fund the trading account with USDT
  • In CRX: Settings → pick Futures, connect API, set margin per trade
  • Enable Live consent when you are ready for real orders

Spot (1× buy & sell)

CRX buys coins with USDT (LONG) or uses spot margin to borrow & sell (SHORT). Same scanner as futures; execution is 1× on the spot wallet.

  • OKX → Profile → Settings → Account mode → Spot mode (or Unified with spot wallet funded)
  • OKX app → Trade → Spot
  • LONG: normal cash — no extra setting
  • SHORT: enable Spot / cross margin on OKX (borrow required)
  • In CRX: Settings → pick Spot, connect API, enable Live when ready

Step 1 — On OKX

Create API key on OKX

OKX USDT perpetual swaps connect through the OKX V5 API. You need three values: API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase. Withdraw must stay disabled — CRX will reject withdrawal-capable keys.

Open OKX

Log in to the OKX mobile app or website with the account you want CRX to trade on.

  • Use main account unless you use a sub-account
  • Complete login + 2FA if prompted

Go to API settings

Open Profile → Account settings → API (API management). This is where keys are created.

  • Tap API / API management

Create API key

Tap Create API key. Choose V5 if OKX asks for a version.

  • Select V5 when available

Set purpose & name

Set Purpose to API trading. Name the key something you will recognize (e.g. CRX).

  • Purpose: API trading
  • Label: CRX or your choice

Permissions — Trade ON

Enable Read and Trade. Leave Withdraw disabled — CRX rejects withdrawal-capable keys.

  • Read — ON
  • Trade — ON
  • Withdraw — OFF (required)

Passphrase & copy keys

Set an 8–32 character Passphrase (you will paste the same value in CRX). Copy API Key and Secret Key immediately — Secret is shown once.

  • Save Passphrase securely
  • Copy API Key + Secret Key
  • Complete 2FA if asked

How to connect in CRX

Three steps in Settings → Venue Connection. Funds stay on OKX — CRX never holds your capital.

Open Settings → Venue Connection

Dashboard → Settings → Venue Connection. Your CRX account must be Crypto signup (not Forex).

Select OKX & paste credentials

Click OKX in the Crypto row. Paste: API Key, Secret Key, Passphrase. Click Connect Keys.

Set risk & go live when ready

Settings → Risk: margin per trade, leverage, max positions. Enable Live Automation Consent only when you want real-money order instructions.
